What the site keeps about you, and what it does not.

Who we are

This is the website of Al-Maseera Sporting Club, a football club in Kuwait. Anyone can read it without an account; only club staff sign in, to keep it up to date. This policy explains what the site collects, why, and what you can ask the club to do with it.

The forms: sent, not kept

When you fill in a form — joining the club, asking for a trial, challenging us to a game, entering a tournament or contacting us — your answers are emailed to the club, and you can send a copy to the club on WhatsApp yourself. The website does not keep your answers.

The one exception is an email that fails to send: the site then keeps a short record — which form it was, why it failed, and the name and number to call back — so that nobody is left without a reply. These records are deleted after 30 days.

A testimonial is kept, because a member of staff has to read it first: it only appears on the site if they approve it, under the name you gave.

Every form asks you to agree to this policy before it is sent.

Keeping the forms free of spam

To stop the same place sending a form again and again, the site counts recent attempts against a scrambled version of your internet address. The address itself is never stored, and the scrambled value cannot be turned back into it.

Players

The squad pages show players’ names, shirt numbers and photos. The club publishes them only with the player’s consent — a parent’s or guardian’s for a player under 18 — and removes them on request.

Squad players answer “coming” or “not coming” to training and matches with a personal code. Codes are stored only in scrambled form, so nobody — staff included — can read them back. An answer is kept with the player’s name and shirt number, and the reason if one is given, for the coaches to plan with. The phone a player answers on may remember their code, so they do not have to type it each time.

Under 18

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree before you send a form, and before you take part in a trial, a session or a game.

Cookies and your device

The site uses only essential cookies: one may remember the language you chose, and club staff have a sign-in cookie for the office. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your browser also keeps a few small preferences so the site behaves the same next time:

  • light or dark theme;
  • small things you have already dismissed, such as a hint on the league table.

They stay on your device, and clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

What we do not do

  • no advertising;
  • no analytics or tracking scripts;
  • no selling or sharing your details with anyone.

Who runs the services

The club uses a small number of services to run the site, and each handles only what its job needs:

  • Vercel serves the website;
  • Supabase stores the site’s content and the few records described above;
  • Resend sends the form emails, to the club’s own address only.

WhatsApp and Instagram are run by Meta. When you message the club on WhatsApp or follow it on Instagram, Meta’s own privacy policy applies to what you share there.

Your rights

You can ask the club to show you what it holds about you, to correct it, or to delete it — a testimonial, an attendance answer, or a player’s name and photo. The club will do so unless the law requires it to keep something.

Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. The date at the top shows the latest version.
